Doctoral students work closely with their primary supervisor in the development of their area of research. Student networks are encouraged and supported at the school and beyond. There are many opportunities to be involved in faculty research projects and sessional teaching.
The School of Social Work offers annual renewable fellowships of $15,000 for outstanding students. McGillUniversity has also introduced major new funding for international doctoral students – MIDAs – whereby all international doctoral students registered full-time at McGill will pay the same tuition as Québec doctoral students.
