The theme of this year's conference is engAGEing, reflecting an emphasis on the power of social engagement among older adults, one of the most important social determinants of quality of life and social well-being, with a specific focus on addressing and combatting issues of social isolation and loneliness, a priority concern identified by the Canadian government.

The Annual NICE Knowledge Exchange is a highly anticipated conference that is the cornerstone of the knowledge transfer strategy at NICE. The conference provides a unique opportunity for members of the community, clinicians, academics, students, and business leaders to come together to exchange new ideas, introduce insights and innovations, and promote tangible solutions to help address issues facing aging populations.

Since 2006, NICE has been bringing together researchers, practitioners, students and seniors from across Canada and around the world to transfer knowledge and best practices with the goal of improving the care of older adults. Featuring renowned experts in their respective fields, the 2015 knowledge exchange will feature Frank Warren from PostSecret.com with a special "PostSecret Live" presentation as our Keynote Speaker as well as Theme Team Lecturers, Interactive Workshops and a Student Poster Competition.
